After the very successful Ride With Smudgemo, we decided it would be a good idea to do it again, but with more of us. Brent has been doing some brainstorming, and Smudgemo has some good ideas over on his blog. So start thinking about next June people!
We figured June would be a good month, since the kids will be out of school, Lake Tahoe trails will be thawed out, and it's a little less crowded. We'll probably do a mountain bike ride and a road ride. June is also the month of the Slow Rollers Poker Run.
Post your thoughts and ideas in the comments!
UPDATE! I've added a link on the top of the side bar to the new Tahoe Blogger's Ride Blog, a bulletin board of sorts created by Smudgemo. Check the TBR for the latest updates!

For a road ride that wouldn't be too strenuous, we could do the triangle of 89 - 28 -267 and finish with food in Truckee.
Sorry, I had one highway wrong in the original post.
Kick @$$!
I will be there. One way or another, but you can count me in.
I'll get started working on Mrs. Oldman to get her onboard too!
It can be a bit dangerous riding road routes up at the Lake. Lots of good road options down here in the valley though. Maybe a tour of the Carson Valley...
We may have to squeeze in a Carson City ride too...let all you guys ride the trails you see here on the blog everyday, or even refresh your mojo bags with fresh ingredients!
Strangely enough I found the weekend road riding to be less traff-icky than during the week. I could pretty much ride anywhere...it's all beautiful.
The Diamond Valley Loop is excellent at all times for a nice quiet road ride. If we do this every year we can change the rides so everyone gets to experience the entire area...
And Diamond Valley is close to the Ebbett's Pass ride. Just sayin...
Poker run? Sounds great. I'd been thinking about trying to get to one of those anyway. We could make our own celebration, Junefest, as an excuse for mucho beer. We could even leave the polka out if we wanted. If other insist on it, that's fine by me too.
Give me about 4 month notice and I can probably make it. Any criteriums in your neck of the woods in June?
Shoot Chris, check the local norther CA/NV calendar at: http://www.ncnca.org/road/
If there isn't a crit and a road race each weekend by then, well, then it's a strange weekend. As the kids around here say, they are hella-fast. Bring your fitness.
