I haven't posted a whole lot lately. Summer is here, and there are lots of other things to do. I really love bicycles, but sometimes you have to take a step back and focus on other activities. Our garden is in, and I've really enjoyed helping take care of it. Gardening is a great way to help take your mind of things. I mean, you can't think about bicycles all the time, right?
I spent the last two nights under that tree in the picture. My son and I set up the tent and slept outside. I'm looking forward to my bed tonight!

I don't know about that. Gardening is a lot like work. But then I'm not at that phase yet. Still digging, trenching, and heaving to get the yard to that state.

Ours was in pretty good shape from last year, so I didn't have to break my back this year. That and Kristy did most of the work during the day while I was at work...
Don't forget to duck when you pass under that clothesline while riding back the other direction.
This shot was the result of about 5 takes. I had to go under the clothesline each time. I had to ride through that hole one handed with a water bucket in the other hand while 2 dogs and a kid ran the yard. I take great risks to bring quality material to this blog!
Great to see another of your one handed talents, but can you lick your butt?
How is the son's mountain biking progressing?
ha! that's a great picture! so silly.
gardening is so good for the soul. i love it too.
both gardening and riding a bike you can do until you're ancient and that's good.
Tank - You act like we're friends on the blog, but then you act like you want to eviscerate me every time I visit you in person. What up, dog?
Chris - He's shifting while riding now. At first we would stop, shift, and then resume riding. Wednesday night we're going to go check out the BMX track...
Lauren - Yep, yep, and yep. I figure we can ride through our seventies at least. Gardening even longer than that. I like the end of summer when the garden is going nuts. I'll get home from work and just sit back there and graze. Eating the landscaping...
How about weeding on the bike? Track stand while shoveling? You do have that dog-hole to fill in don't you? Cheers.
Great shot...good to know one doesn't have to give up the ride in order to do the necessary yardwork!
Nice shot -- right now it would be nice to be able to ride down the block -- never mind about riding into my seventies.
this is awesome. and i share your sentiments about gardening. yet i haven't tried this approach to watering yet. always something new to learn. :-)
I should add a disclaimer to this picture. I look very relaxed in the picture, but the truth is I almost wiped out during each pass.
Maybe I need a gardening trike...
